LESSONS

Lessons on an Instrument (Voice, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Drums, Sax, and DJ’ing)

Weekly 1 on 1 lesson given by one of our inspiring instructors, trained in our unique approach and methodology, and teaching from our Young Musician Total Education Curriculum, assembled and curated by our Music Director Carl Restivo.

We do not teach only one genre- we teach all genres. Rock, Pop, R&B, Electronic, Reggae, Electronic, Hip Hop, Country, Jazz… You name it; We teach it here.

Unlike most after school music programs, your child will also learn Music Theory.

As your child develops a mastery of their instrument, they will also be encouraged to create their own music.

PAM believes that we must foster creativity and individuality, and that if a young musician wants to get better and take the next step, it’s pertinent that their teacher helps unlock the mystery of making their own music.

PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

Lessons + Performance Program (Voice, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Drums, Sax, and DJ’ing)

Performance Program is an intensive weekly group rehearsal for a themed show that is focused around a specific genre, artist, concept, or classic album.

The weekly rehearsal session is 2.5 hours, once a week.

Students learn their parts for the songs they are assigned to on their own, then rehearse it as a group under the supervision and direction of a Faculty Band Director.

Performance Program runs 3 times per year: Spring (Feb-May), Summer (June-Aug/Sept), and Fall (Sept/Oct-Jan). Each program season is concluded with a live performance.

Several different Performance Program Groups will be running during the same season, in order to accommodate all the student’s different skill levels and interests. For the benefit of the student’s performance education, we limit each performance group to no more than 25 students. Each performance group has a theme, which is selected and curated by our Music Director, Carl Restivo.

Songwriting Performance Program

Songwriting Students will adhere to the same season schedule as the Performance Program, and will perform in the Songwriting Performance, where each student will perform one of their own songs. Our sessions are 9-12 weeks in length depending on the timing.

We believe that performance is integral to becoming a balanced musician. The Performance Program is designed to maximize a student’s long-term potential and growth, as well as their appreciation and love for music.

Performing music is not only important for learning music, but it is a vehicle for developing the students self confidence. It creates camaraderie between the students sharing a particular show. Lifelong relationships are formed here through working together and sharing the common love of music. This becomes a catalyst for participation in their social lives, as well as in their musicianship! The Performance Program develops teamwork between bandmates, creating respect for themselves, their instrument, and others.

Future Pros

An invitation only program for the serious student who will have an additional 2 hour rehearsal approximately once a week in addition to their normal rehearsal. The student needs to be self motivated and ready to learn in an excelled environment. They perform every 8-12 weeks with additional opportunities to perform at additional venues highlighting their special talents.
